Christmas camp 2014 has ended and it was a wonderful week! The kids came back to us on Monday and were able to spend some time together playing soccer, singing, dancing, and just enjoying each other after being apart for the last week and a half. Tuesday, we were blessed to have Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse (SWAGAA) here to play some games with the kids and donate some Toms shoes. Wednesday, the kids got the opportunity to decorate sugar cookies and make some beautiful and fun ornaments that Beth brought to the hostel. Thursday was the Christmas party where the kids sang, put on a Christmas play, received gifts and cake, and then danced their sweet hearts out for the rest of the night. It was a beautiful week of fun and fellowship and giving thanks to God for sending His only son, Jesus, to die for our sins. We here at Cabrini Ministries Swaziland are abundantly blessed!!
From our big happy family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
With the passing of Thanksgiving in America, we here at Cabrini Ministries Swaziland are reminded of and exceedingly grateful for our many blessings. Without the support of donors, sponsors, friends and family and countless others, the work we do here would not be possible. Thank you for helping us to bring hope, life, and love to the lowveld of Swaziland. Thank you for believing in us, for praying for and with us, and for the outpouring of generosity over the last ten years. We appreciate each and every one of you! May you all have the happiest of holidays!

On Saturday, the St. Philip’s community gathered together to celebrate the life and work of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, without whom Cabrini Ministries would not exist. We celebrated Mother Cabrini with a mass followed by a wonderful time of fellowship which included singing, dancing, a karate demonstration by a few of the students, as well as lots of delicious food. The students who stay at the hostel sang “We Are the World” and did a beautiful job. It was a great day of joy and gratitude for all that Mother Cabrini has done to help improve the lives of the poor.
Saturday was also a perfect opportunity for us to celebrate Cabrini Ministries Swaziland’s 10th anniversary and to honor the staff members who have been with us for 10 years and for 5 years. Those who have been working for Cabrini for 10 years are Sr. Diane, Mr. Pius Mamba, Lucia, Jane, Jabu, Zodwa Gama, and Foto. Celebrating 5 years with Cabrini Ministries, we have France, Nonhlahla, Busisiwe, and Nok’Thula. The things that we do here could not happen without the hard work and dedication of those who we are privileged to have working among us. We are so blessed to have them as a part of our Cabrini family.
